2027: Tinubu Campaign Flag-Off Shuts Down Muh’du Buhari Way
…As Kaduna Ranchers Bees Stadium Hosts APC Rally
The popular Waff Road, now known as Muhammadu Buhari Way in Kaduna State, was completely shut down on Saturday for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential campaign flag-off holding at the Kaduna Ranchers Bees Stadium.
Muhammadu Buhari Way, located in the heart of the Crocodile City, is one of the main roads leading from the popular NEPA roundabout from Ahmadu Bello Way to Murtala Mohammed Square, the Hamdala Hotel axis.
The road serves mainly as campaign route leading to the venue of the flag-off at Ranchers Bees Stadium, venue of the campaign activities.
Our correspondent reported that human and vehicular movements were completely shut down and restricted, with only campaign supporters allowed parading the route in hundreds of thousands.
Men and women wearing customized campaign T-shirts bearing the photos of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governor Uba Sani were seen moving up and down the road, chanting solidarity songs and displaying flags of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Police and other security operatives’ vehicles were visibly parked, blocking commuters from entry, with exception of VIP vehicles and supporters’ groups.
Residents watched with surprise, some with mixed feelings, as every VIP convoy passing was viewed by locals as President Tinubu and his entourage arriving in Kaduna, even as residents gathered by the roadside to catch a glimpse of the President’s convoy.
Children, adults, young and old, male and female, plundered as they were not left out of the speculation and jubilation prior before the time of October 24th flag-off campaign in Kaduna commenced.
The atmosphere around the Ranchers Bees Stadium, venue of the flag-off, remained charged as supporters continued to throng the area.
